I don't believe that you can get 25 to 40 more HP with that price tag and no headwork done. Or did I miss something?

Thanks, that's what I'm thinking, the HD build is saying more like 10% increase.

That Indy is really advertising that range of increase? I would seriously, do some more research. Hog fever can be dangerous thing. When you get the fever, you need to step back, take a few deep breaths, shake your head, blink your eyes and talk to a few more people.
We've all been their.

Cruzzer, if you have Godspeed do it let us all know how it works out? I am in the North Bay and been seeing there ads and thinking about it. I think I would pay the extra and get the gear drive cams while they are in there.

From stock to the 103, a gain of 25 TQ is possible. I had a Stage I and just did cams and a dyno. Got 10 ft/lbs gain in TQ over the Stage I. Had I gone with the 103 with the Comtec gasket and some minor head clean up, I think I would have gotten anoter 10. So that would have been about 25 over stock. Very good builds with some head work advertise 115 ft/lbs. I don't see anyway this build would get a gain of 40.

If you shop around and do some negotiations, you can gain more than that. I went from stock 66hp/86tq on my dyna to a all SE 103" build that puts out 112hp/111tq and my total cost was around $1800. Here's how I did it, 110"+ heads off ebay brand new-$250, ported & polished locally-$400, 103"cylinders, 10.5 to1 forged pistons, 260 cams, and perfect fit pushrods-25% off dealer special on all parts, total was $750, 8hrs of labor at $65hr-$520, other parts- $80, total was $2000. Sold my stock heads & cylinders-$200, that brung it down to $1800, I already had a sert and my dealer was doing a advance performance seminar that week and used my bike when demonstrating the use of the sert and dyno, so my tune was free! So from 66 to 112 = a 70% increase in hp and from 86 to 111 = a 30% increase in tq. My bike is set up for more mid to upper rpm riding, thats where I wanted it.

I would not use the SE cyl studs - high tensile strength bu t there have been some issues with them. There is not a "lip" or bulge at the bottome to set them to right depth and to torque against, also due to the high tensile strength, it seems torque values can sometimes be off as part of torqueing is the amount of "strect" in the fastener. A lot of very well known builders will not use the SE studs. the 20-40 hp gain is, IMO opinion not attainable with just this set-up without additional work and parts, such as a free flowing air cleaner, free flowing exhaust and a good tune and head work. You will definitely need soe type of tuning system - SERT, TTS, etc. In the end, yousr cost is going to be way above the intial cost of just the build in the ad. You might get to the bottom figure of HP and Tq though.

The bike is an 07 and has the new style tensioners and roller chain. There is no need to go to gear drive. The longevity of the new style has been proven and the difference in price is just not worth it for a street bike.

Red Devil, you did good! But, most of us will not get a free dyno, and the numbers you are posting, based on your build turned out well but that cam in a bagger, well, it is going to be a dog on the bottom end so a different cam such as the 203/204 will not make as high of hp numbers. Also, you already had the SERT, so you really do have to in the nd, add that cost in as well as the pipes, air filter and other parts that you may have added along the way.

Remember, chasing numbers at times will lead you down apath that you may not like in the end. It is all about rideability.
