Default 150/80 Tire

I've seen a few dissenting opinions on this subject. Does anyone have personal experience with a 150/80 tire on a 2004-2008 swingarm (without mods)?

150 will fit without issue. I've always replaced factory dunlops with 150 Metzlers immediately. Next time I'm trying a 160.

The 150 fits 2004 up no problem, earlier years with the 1 1/2" belt its tight with a 140 but if you remove the belt gaurd it clears.

I run a 160/17 on a Dyna wheel on min and my dads bikes. You have to trim the edge of the fender to get it in there and offset the wheel JUST right, theres less than an 1/8" on each side of the tire after trimming!

I run a 160 no issues. Only thing I had to do was remove the belt guard. It is close but it does work

How wide is a 160? I'm running a Metzler 880 150/80B16 on my 07 FLHP. The tire is within an 1/8" of the edge of the fender at the upper shock mount.

The Dunlop 160/17 measures 165mm, the Metzler is smaller, always are!
