I've got the 6 1/2" version, and I'm kind of waiting to see who chimes in on the new 8 1/2"er. Maybe they're just too new for any live test results.

I have the 8 1/2 inch shield on my Ultra. Went to it from a 4 inch Harley shield. Much better than the four inch. I have the lighter tint and wish that it was darker but got it for a song, so I'll live with the light tint. Really like the shield, helps with air "pocket". Never had the 6 1/2 so have nothing to compare it with.

I have the 6.5 and interested on responses as well. I love the 6.5 and I have dark smoke. I can see through it if I have too, but I look over it and it has not been an issue and I am 5'10.

Default Just bought the 8.5"

In black. I am 6'1" tall and will be installing it on my Ultra with the T-Bags windshield bag and the Hogtunes tweeter pod.

It's snowing in Chicago lots today. I will report on the windshield as soon as I take the bike out for a ride.

I also have a 6" KW black windshield and a Longride 8" for sale now, since I purchased the 8.5"

I just put one on the bike last weekend. Snow/salt has kept the bike at home though. I had a taller version 10.5" and this is quite a bit shorter than that.

Sorry for the bad pic.
