Default Harley Model #'s

Why when someone starts a new thread about their bike they have to start the thread by putting their model # first instead of the model name of their bike? Is that the cool thing to do? For example a guy would post "Question about a 2010 FLHTCUI" I realize I'm a newbie and just purchased my 2010 Electra Glide Classic but I have no idea what the F&@# a FLHTCUI is nor do I care. Now if they guy posted "Question about a 2010 Ultra Classic then I would know what bike he actually had and could decide if I wanted to read the post or not. So for all us newbies an otherwise uninformed individuals I found this information. So now I have a spreadsheet to go to when I see a post like, " What kind of oil for a 2010 FLHRCI"

Only when you have memorized that list will you become a true Harley rider and member of the HD Forums "Real Rider" forum group - only then will you be given the secret password and secret handshake.

Isn't a VTX a Honda?

And if so, shouldn't your user name be HondaKC?

Then you wouldn't know that I used to have a VTX if it was HondaKC now would you?

Toypuller, I could think of a few comebacks for that one but I'm pretty sure they said no personal attacks on the forum
