Default Roadglide inner fairing trim

Ok i wanna know if im the only one having this issue with the three inner fairing trim peices. They all seem to leek glue i guess from shifting or heat. Maybe its not glue but a tacky film to help adhere the trim to the inner fairing, but either way mine are making a mess. The first time i had my outer fairing off i replaced all 3 trim peices, but now im back to square one with this mess.

The adhesive used does not like heat.I had the same issue and had it reglued under warranty a couple times, the same thing happend.
I ended up removing all the adhesive and reglued with Loctite super glue. This adhesive will not melt like the other crap the factory and dealer used.

get the rubber seals for a street glide, they work a lot better than the road glide rubber.i have an 06 ultra that i painted the inner fairing and used the street glide rubber on and its been over a year without any problem.i have a road glide that im presently using the street glide rubber seal on as soon as i get the inner painted.

Go to an automotive store (Autozone, Pepboys, etc) and get a roll of door edge trim. Has its own adhesive, replaced mine this winter so can't say how it will do in the heat. Do a search for fairing trim, there are others who have done it for longer and did not have issues with heat.

i had the same problem. Took the stock trim off and cleaned inside the trim and the fairing with Goo Gone. Then I used silicone caulk (the small tube that you squeeze with your hand vs. a caulk gun). It has seemed to stay put very well. I thought about the super glue method but didn't want it to be as permanent in case I ever have the inner fairing painted.
