Default First start after winter storage.

Question....
The bike has sat idle since November-ish, what do you do when you crank her up for the first time this year? I read once that some will squirt some oil down the spark plug holes but never did follow up on the validity.
Figured I would ask as this place is an abundance of useful and useless knowledge.
Thanks

Check the oil, fire it up and let her get good and warmed up.

I think some people squirt oil in the cylinders when they put it away.

Turn the ignition switch on and hit the start button.

Starting should not be a problem if bike was stored properly and battery is fully charged. should fire right up.

Not sure what year you've got...but...put 'er up on the stand and:

Pull you heads and send em to Hillside, go for Axtell 107" kit, woods tw-9-6 cams, get your stock crank welded and trued by Hobans, throw in SE 50 mm throttle body and a Bub7 exhaust along with roller rockers lifters...tune and rock. Other than that... <grin>

Check your air pressure
Ignition
Start
Warm 'er up for a few and roll man...

But that's just me.

(really?)

I start with putting the battery back in my bike.

Have done the oil in the cyclinders trick, Before storing the bike.
Check your tire pressure. And don't go on a 500 miler first ride of the year.
Like that idea of pulling the heads, cam etc - missed the window there.
