Default HID relays needed ??

Is there a good reason to hook up the optional relay ?? I went ahead and ordered the optional relay haness. But it works fine with out one. Normally I only use a relay when I am trying to contra high amperage curcut with a low amperage curcut. The hid system is suppose to be lower amperage the stock lights. I hate to add anymore connections at the battery if they are not needed.

No, a relay is not needed. You are right, the HID is a lower amperage circuit and does not require the relay. The only time a relay is required in an electrical circuit is when your switch is rated at less amperage than the load it will be carrying or you can also use a relay if you want your switch to perform multiple operations such as turning on one accessory and turning off another one or you want it to switch on or off several accessories with a low amperage switch.
