...... 'wind deflectors' for a Road Glide ? ...... just get the lowers, you know you want to
....and if you really want'm off in the summer, get the new HD detach mount kit for them
........ since you've got a '10, look on ebay for a used set of FLH lowers or for a set of those chinese knock-offs & save a few bucks
.... years from now, when you realize you've never taken'm off, you'll thank us for this advice

Thanks for the suggestons. I'll contact the local dealer tomorrow and see if they have any suggestions and see what they have to say about the fork deflectors.

Beautiful bike you got there Scooter Dog.

WOW! The lowers really help. I installed vented lowers and the steering head deflector yesterday. Dramatic improvement, even at 80mph. The color-matched vented set are worth every penny.

Sancho(HDF Member) is making a lexan deflector that mounts on the lower fairing screw. Pretty cool. Mine are on the way!

One thing not mentioned here about the new HD wind deflectors that are now available for the Roadies is that they will not fit the 09's if the fuel tank recall has been done to the bike. It states that right in the description. Now, is it a minor thing or a major pain in the *** to make them work? No idea yet.

Question for Scooter-dog (the black Roadie with the HD lowers), did you utilize the inner fairing bracket from the 2010 Roadie or did you 'massage' the lowers to fit without doing anything to the fairing? I have all the junk, but haven't done it yet because I wanted the dealer to fix the damn CB before claiming it might be from something I touched while installing my stuff. I like the way yours looks. Sweet.

They're factory RG lowers. No 'massaging' required.

I bought a pair of HD soft lowers for when the weather cools down around here. I haven't noticed an aerodynamic issue as some others have mentioned. In fact they work surprisingly well for what they are. Block the wind coming up from underneath. An inexpensive alternative. Only have them on for a couple of months here in California anyway. We get to ride year around.
