Default Arnott Aldan System a bit too stiff

I have the Arnott Aldan air suspension system. Although a quality product is terms of contruction, it is a bit too stiff when riding solo...evern on the softest setting. I haven't only got about 700-1000 miles on the shocks...will they soften a bit over time?

I agree with you that the Arnott Alden quality is very good, the shocks are beautiful. I messed around with the settings on my Arnott Alden System and never have been able to achieve what I would consider to be a smooth ride. The problem I think is that I don't weigh enough, I think that you either have to be packing some extra pounds or carrying a passenger to get rid of the stiff ride feel.

I think the ride got better over time or else I'm just use to it.

Isn't the Aldan system the one with the adjustable preload? Your saying the ride is stiff with the preload adjusted low & the air low also, your still having what you'd call a "stiff" ride?
Just asking out of curiousness, I've been thinking about a few different air rides, but want to make the right decision. They are all a bit expensive!

Would love to know more about this. Really close to pulling the trigger on one from Dr V-Twin.

Default Arnott system

I tried the Arnott/Bilestein shocks with the 12 point adjust feature. Being a vertically challenged rider when the bike was down it was great for maneuvering in a parking lot, backing up. looking cool. I could never get it to ride more comfortably than at the time, my progressive shocks. In fact it rode like a truck, very stiff. I sent them back for a refund. Your right in saying quality was there but for me and for 1000.00 dollars I needed the ride to be much better. Try Bitchen Baggers and their cut down Harley shocks. I have been happy with that ride and for a whole lot less.
