I have an 09 Ultra that I have thrown serious $$$ at to get it where I want...and then I see this thing at the dealer. They apparently threw a lot of $$$ at it as well...it's a 2010 and has won several awards in local shows....and I want it! Oh fighting the urge is killing me!!!!!

 

LOL!! Welcome too the club! I've just stopped looking at the new bikes at dealers, too hard to avoid that impulse buy! Will start looking again in a year or two when I'll try to justify a new one!

It doesn't bother me at all to look at the new bikes and walk away. I'm completely satisfied with my '05.

 

You gotta trade the Geezer Glide for that sweet Road Glide. You just haveta.

 

Slow Rain, it's a smokin' hot RG. I see it when I visit Killer Creek and you're right--they put a lot of $$$ in the "Raven."

I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.

 

Hell man, you got a great looking bike, throw on some blacked out pipes, a few other blacked out bits, low profile seat, detachable top case and you're golden...or blacked out, you get the picture!

 

I feel your pain. I have it every time I look at two merlot/red SG's sitting at my dealer that never get sold. Every Sat. I must gawk at them, and gawk at them....

The only thing that keeps me from biting is I know they won't give me diddly-squat for my '07 SG in trade and the new bike will require $K's to get it up to the level my SG is now in performance and amenities.

Maybe you should approach it that way, letting your rational self maintain priority over your emotional self. Of course if money and the hassle of upgrading to your standards are not issues, go for it!
