HQ113 ST kit, hillside 117 kit, or what.
I am looking at doing a kit this coming winter for my 2008 SG. Looking at the HQ113. The hillside 117. anything from 113 to 120 basically.
Does anyone have these now and how do they like it. Also what other modifications did you end up having to do. Are there any hidden needs to go along with the kits?
Need to key in on a kit and put together a cost estimate so I can save moolah before I start ordering.

Pick a power goal, then that will decide your budget. Then pick a builder. I chose Hillside and havent looked back. Call Scott and ask about Txchop's build. What do you want from the motor. Off idle tq, high end hp? You want to ride 100k before it comes apart again? You want to spend 8k on it.
You will need at the minimum a good clutch, tuner and tune, pipe and air cleaner.

I have a hq 113 it works good as long as I can get 94 octane fuel ,if I was to do it over again I would probably go with a kit that has lower compression on account I find more often than not I am unable to get the 94 octane fuel it craves,I think I would probably go with a 117 with low enough compression that It would run on any garbage fuel that I put in it ,it just makes for a lot less hassle and I would probably use Hillside as I have talked to Scott on the phone before and he gave me the impression he would give good after the sale technical set up for his builds.

94 octane? Where do you find that? Here on the east coast 93 is the best you'll get and further west, 91 is the best.
