Default anyone here powder coat their iginition switch?

I know how to take it out. I also ordered a new decal for it. How do I get the key cylinder out? I couldnt find it in the manual and according to the local parts counter dude I can't order one without a keyed cylinder.

Mike pull the hole switch out . When thats done lift the decal off with a small screw driver .the switch will have three tamper proof torx screws. You must remove the screws and keep the barrel key switch UPRIGHT!!!! IF YOU DON'T YOU WILL LOSE THE PINS FOR THE BARREL KEY. Then take some black tape start with the sticky side out then reverse it back to keep the barrel pins in their orignal place.

I got it out earlier. I just wish I could get a spare one so I don't need to ride without one.

I just ordered one of these
http://www.covingtonscyclecity.com/#...ionSwitchCover

It is a cover that is black. No risk of screwing up the insides of your switch.
65.00. A little more than having it PC but less risk of a screw up on one of the most important parts of the bike
