Default Will a 2007 Road King Accept a 180mm Rear Tire, Like the 2009's Have?

I know that the 2009's have a 180mm rear tire, but I think the 2007 models only came with a 140mm.

Can you simply mount a 180mm tire on a 2007 Road King, or were the rim/fender sizes also different?

Thanks

The fender is a lot wider. The whole rear end of the frame is different.

I prefer the look of the wider 180mm rear tire, as found on the 2009/2010's.

Can a 2007 be made to accept the larger tire, or is the 180mm tire specific for the 2009 frame changes?

The 2009 fender is obviously wider. Is the rim size the same for 2007 & 2009?

Thanks

Too bad. I have an opportunity to score a nice 2007 RKC, the only thing holding me back is the smaller rear tire.

I would not let that hold me back if it were a good deal. you can get a 160 on it that looks good. If you go with after market wheels you can put a 4.25" wheel on it that makes everthing look bigger and better.

So, is it just a question of a new rim/tire/fender, or is there more to it to make it happen?
Thanks

You don't have to change all that if you go with just the 4.25" wheel and a 160mm tire. They make 200mm kits that you can buy but they are Big $$$.
