I forget the exact size now, but I drilled/cored mine out and it seems like it was around 7" and sits up just before the bend in the pipe about 4-6" into the pipe after you take off the muffler.

Check on the Fullsac website, they show a pic of a 2009 headpipe & the mod they do to remove the cat. They cut the pipe in two & completely remove the cat then weld back together, the 2into1 should be very similar, if you have a chop saw & welder you can do it yourself.

Details please? Did you just remove the head pipe and open it up? Where is it exactly? Right before it goes into the muffler?
Thanks for any more info you can offer!

Here's some pics. This is why coring only removes 1/2.

Ok, I see that, does it break up when you bust it out? Come out in pieces? Or is it "Glued" to the pipe on the edges sort of? It would seem if you kept breaking it up, it would fall out the muffler end when you held it up on end?

Glued well to the outside, and it won't break up. I ended up drilling a bunch of 1/2" holes in it and then using a sawzall to cut out the rest. I just replaced the head pipe with Fuel Moto's and it worked even better. Here's the difference.

Ok lonewolf, so did you cut your pipe yourself and gut it? Then reweld?
This is something I may attempt myself. I do have a wire welder, and I guess if I used clamps to hold it in place to weld it should be fine. Also, what is the worst that can happen if the back half is a smidge off? I can't imagine much.. no attach points on it, right? The muffler hangs off the bracket by the bags,,,,,
There is a guy on Ebay who is selling these too, 79.00 and your pipe in exchange. Seems to be out doing the Fuel Moto price! LOL
