Default throttle cables / cruise control

I'm about to fit a pair of chubby 508's and will need to replace the throttle cables with plus 4". I dont have cruise control on my bike but I noticed that there is a switch with a couple of wires, which I take to be something to do with cruise control?
Can anyone advise if I can replace with cables that have no electrical connectionsm and leave the electrical wires 'loose'?

Thanks in advance

Chris

if they are the 2 wires on your idle cable they are cruise control wires, if you do not have cruise you can un hook the wires and order a idle cable w/o cruise for your bike which will be cheaper

But if you decide to get cruise down the road you will get to replace the cable again, making it more expensive!

Hi.

Sorry, I should have mentioned in the original posting. The bike is 2004 Road King injection.

Thanks for your help

Chris
