Put on a Rinehart 2-into-1 and got dyno tuned this weekend.
I met up with Ed from www.thedynodifference.com yesterday to get dyno tuned after putting on a Rinehart 2-into-1 pipe the night before. My previous exhaust set up was stock headers with the old style SE slip on mufflers. The previous set up before the new exhaust and dyno tune yielded 75 hp/91 tq. After the new exhaust and the completion of the dyno tune, my numbers increased to 86 hp/98 tq. Where the tune really shines is where my torque begins and ends. The torque curve is alot more broader than before. At the beginning of the run, it comes in at 79 ft-lbs@2000 rpm, peaks out at 98 ft-lbs@3334 rpm and comes down to 76 ft-lbs at 6000 rpm. On my baseline run back in February before the pipes and meeting up with Ed, my torque starts at 68 ft-lbs at 2000 rpm and at 6000 rpm drops to 65 ft-lbs.
Ed was very thorough with the tuning process. He began with making sure my bike was squared away before getting in on the dyno. He insured that my air filter, was clean, he cleaned out my throttle body and made sure my spark plugs were good to go. I'm very pleased with the end result. The power comes on hard early and pulls till infinity. It has more than I can ever see myself needing. Well and 103 kit would be nice.
The Rinehart exhaust is great. It sounds awesome with a very deep tone at idle and cruise but lets you know it means business when I crack the throttle. The heat shields were a little difficult to put on as Ed can attest to. Oh by the way, Ed also installed O2 bungs (I think that's what they're called) in each of the headers so that he can tune each cylinder.

Hey Flip, can you show some pics of the Rinehart 2-1's, I'm looking at going the 2-1 route and am interested in seeing them as opposed to the D&D's. Why were the heat shields so tough to install? Although my BUB's are a bitch, I can attest to that, and they're made by the same company...........Or at least they used to be, anyways.
