Default Dealer finds nothing wrong / bike keeps stalling / any thoughts ???

07 FLHTC with 25K on the clock - after riding for about 75 miles engine will not hold an idle. Stalls out when stopping at light, etc. Dealer can't find a thing wrong. Runs perfect when bike is moving and has been serviced regularly. Leaving for Myrtle on Wednesday. Any ideas or similar problems ??? Bike has pipes, V&H fuel pack and K&N hi flow air cleaner.

I had a very similar problem on a '97 and my current '02 Ultra. It was the engine temperature sensor both times.

Check with your dealer, there is an upgraded calibration for the ECM that addresses stalling issues. Good Luck

Bring your scoot to a different doctor! I agree with the temp sensor.

Could it be the fuel pak? Does the problem occur when the fuel pak is removed?

I had to replace the intake manifold seal on my 2007 Low Rider after experiencing the same problem --- may want to have that checked.

Whan I had my '06 I had the same problem. The bike threw no codes and the dealer hadthe bike for a month re-dyno tuned and still could not fix the problem. Then I read somewhere that the some of the IAC control modules were not operating correctly but would still not throw a code. ( Plus they get dirty) I replaced the module for $40 and it never stalled again. :-) When you think of it it makes sense to me...IDLE-air control module. (IAC) I figured for $40-$50 I'd give it a try. Try spraying some carb cleaner up the hole in the throttle bdoy that leads to the IAC module, and if the bike quits stalling then that may be the problem.

Check the idle stop screw on the throttle body, they were known to move in and out in 07. In causes high idle, out causes low idle, gets low enough it will die!
