The members with the antenna and receiver for the Zumo 550 where did you mount this unit. Interested in buying one and have read people putting the antenna under the fairing and was wondering how it picked up the satalite to allow no drop outs or total loss of reception

Thanks in advance....and Ride Safe!
Hey,

I am stationed in Europe, I always have to order my stuff on-line if I want it cheaper than overseas pricing. Anyway, check out Chicagoharley.com I put your part number in there and it is only $399. They are a Brick/Mortar Store, they just order direct from Harley, so they never touch it. Everything is usually 20% cheaper than retail. Give them a look.

All you need is the XM module that comes with an antenna. You have to buy the Overlay Harness separately. Then all you have to do is call the 800 number for XM service and have it activated.

Took the unit off my 06 RG before trading it in. I will be putting it on my 2011 RGU in the next few weeks. I love XM.
