Default 2009-2010 Ultra: How much air in your shocks?

2009 and 2010 Ultra owners only please.

How much pressure do you run in your stock rear shocks when riding with a passenger? I ran 35psi in my 09 Ultra and it looks like the suspension was bottoming out too easily. We have a combined weight of 310-320 lbs.
I checked the owner's manual (about time! <g>) and discovered that HD recommends 50psi for duo-riding. This was a big surprise for me.
I haven't had an opportunity yet to check if it works better (it's raining now) but I'd appreciate your input.

Thanks.

50psi. Works pretty good. Have bottomed out few time two-up and loaded with gear.

on my 10 FLHX two up at 290/300lbs I'm running 40 and have been happy with the results.

I agree with the 40-45 lbs recommendation. That seems to have good results for me.

Probably a stupid question but here goes. I tried to get air into mine on the weekend, I'd pump up to 60 lbs into it, then by the time I unscrewed the air pump fitting the air pressure went back down to 35 lbs. How do you guys do it?

When I'm solo - (200 pound rider) - 30 seems good. With 2 up, 45 seems to be the number...

To avoid frustration and to encourage additional dollars to be liberated from your wallet - get this...

It can be had for around 40 bucks online. It solves the air escaping issue and has a pressure gauge on it. I've spent too much on stupider items for my bike - at least this one is functional

30lb when solo and 50lb when two up

it's the front end I'd like to firm up

That looks like a pretty good idea, I may think about that.
