Default 2010 Road King Need Exhaust Help

I have a 2010 FLHRC and did the stage 1 and put on Vance and Hines Twin Slash rounds. I found the bike to be way to quiet. I drilled holes in the baffles - not any better. I did put the Big City Thunder baffles in and it was deeper for sure. I then cut the V&H baffle completely out. Now it sounds alot better - still not that cracking/throaty sound I want. So i have the BCT baffles in head pipe and no Vance and Hines baffles.

Am I not able to achieve a deep HD sound because of the cat? I am in New York and had 1 dealer tell me that all 2010 FLHRC have cats in them, I had the other dealer tell me that only California models do. Anyone know how I can tell if it does or not??

Also - anyone have a 2010 FLHRC that they have had success in making sound like a true Harley. I am not afraid of loudness or touching obnoxious.

Vance and Hines said to go with their High Output series. But have heard that Bassani or Samson are louder. Any input or experience with a 2010 greatly appreciated. I am tired of yanking off the pipes and stuff

Thanks all

BTW - I first posted a simlar question in th ewrong post so sorry for that

The 2010 touring models all have cats.

The 09 was CA only.

A true dual setup such as the Rineharts will give you the sound you're looking for.

Update - Just got an email from the dealer I bought the bike from

"Hi Jonathan: Your bike does not have a converter."

I would accept that comment with a grain of salt, pull the head pipes and inspect for yourself, put true duals on and determine if there are or were cats in the headpipes.

I hear ya. I talk to the guy at parts and get a different answer than the guy in service and then the sales guy has a diff answer. Man. If my co-workers and I ran shop like that we would be closed.

Get a set of V&H power dual headers. We have one set at the shop for a special price of $399.95 shipped. Retail is $520 plus shipping. This will give you a much deeper sound. the cat does muffle the sound of the exhaust.
