Default Best Fishtails

What are the best fishtail slip-ons? I have an 03 RKC and currently have the rush up-slash. I am looking for something a little louder and really like the look of the fishtails any suggestions?

Thanks
Joe

The two main choices are Samson and Vance and Hines. Are you looking for sound, aesthetics, performance, or all? I ran the Samson fishtails on my ride for quite a while. I had the pipes without the fishtails. My low end torque suffered a bit, but the sound was unbeatable if you like LOUD! I think you will get better power with the Vance and Hines fishtails, but they do not sound as good and I dislike the look of the "fishtails." Whatever you decide, let me know as I can scroe you a deal on any and all of these.

I put a set of V&H TD's with fishtails on my wife's '07 Heritage and she gets plenty of compliments on their looks and sound (particularly the sound). They're not as loud as Samson's but still bark that unmistakable sound of fishtails. I've ridden the bike many times and they make great power also.

dont forget about torque cones for better bottom end power when running straight pipes. they increase velocity and increase torque from 3-5 foot pounds.

I ran the torque cones and had the bike dynoed as well. It ran better with than without but i am now a 2 into 1 man. Samson are the classic fishtails though. Hats off Samson. You woke up all of my neighbors many times.

The V&H fishtails are by far the best looking around but I think there are better sounding pipes around.

So who makes the classic "fishtails"?
Not the "rockets"...

And the ones that are straight, not the ones that pinch in a bit right before the tail part.

The classic fishtails are the Samsons.
