New Hard Bags on RKC WOW!!
#151
Those bags look great on your RK'S I am changing to hard bags on my RK Custom
bought used Harley Lids and bags on E-Bay, rubber and hardware from harley..... and latches, lock assy's from Calvary ($125) they came complete with locks and flamed chrome latch covers.
The locks are in the middle of the latch, but there is another position on the inside of the latch to install a lock, so you can use OEM Harley latch covers. I have found the "inner" parts of the latch assy's to be cheapish looking, all the little screws and threads are "metric" and they dont use a spring at all like OEM does, also I found that you cannot remove the key at all, unless it is in the locked position
So, I'm thinking of putting Harley locks in the Calvary latches... so I wont have to fool with keys, every time I want to quickly open and close,
does anyone know if I can order harley locks and keys to match my ignition key, even though my FLHRS didn't come with hard bags?
thanks
