Default Redline Shockproof or Amsoil in Tranny?

I have used the search function here and can't seem to find a clear answer if there is one. I have Redline Shockproof and Amsoil 20W-50W. I want to change my tranny fluid this weekend and went to the HD dealer to buy some new o-rings and then I made the mistake and asked what they thought of about using Redline in the tranny. He told me not to use it in 07 and newer with 6 speed. Has anyone else ever hear of this? I have a 08 FLHX and just want to put the best of the 2 that I have in the tranny. I know Harley's clunk when shifting ..but mines is louder than most I think. It's louder than the other guys Harley's I ride with. Do you think I might need my clutch adjusted? Any and all comments would be helpful.

I can't understand why someone would say not to use it. I've been using it in my 07 for 2 years with great results.

Put the Redline in and don't talk to your dealer about oil again.
I use Amsoil gear oil and have used Redline. Both are excellent.

Go with the Redline. I use it in my 07 and it works great.

Spectro Platinum 6 speed lube is awesome too, and quiets alot of the gear noise.

I switched last year to redline and it works well. Heck, my local HD dealer sells the stuff.

I call BS. My dealer recommended and installed it in my 09 RG. Thuth be told, I don't notice any improvements - but my bike shifted great to start with.

I won't recommend one oil over another but I will recommend that you fill your tranny with gear oil. Motor oil just doesn't perform the task asked of it in the transmission for my tastes. I prefer a 75-90W oil there.
