Default 2010 Street Glide, front fender chrome add??

Hi All,

I'm new to the forum and my fiance just bought me my first HD! A 2010 Street Glide!

I want to dress up the front fender (like the 09 EG Standard); is this duable? If so, would any of you have the part # for the parts?

Not sure why HD didn't put chrome on the fender; it would look great!

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Angie in Alaska!

IMO, the SG fender looks better than the EG fender. One of the reasons I bought the SG is clean look...the lack of all the useless chrome doodads on the fenders, etc.
However, if that's what you want, it's your bike, so do what makes you happy.

I added the fender tip light and rails to my "clean" 2000 RG. I found out in the process that the fender tip light uses not only two screws but a stamped depression in the fender. It can still be mounted but does not fit as well as it should, and you have to drill all the holes (a very risky thing with painted parts).

Welcome to the Forum

I wouldn't do it. Changing the way the tins look ruins the Street Glide look. If you like Chrome look at the foot control and Inside Fairing changes. Now a pradox statement I did change my tins but I made sure my bike looked like a Black Bike from afar.

Now if you look at my Road King that has enough chrome to sink a ship.

Just my opinion.

Congrads on the new ride and your Gal sounds like a real keeper.

Also if you are new to riding bikes, please take a Skills riding course (MSF)

Ride Safe.

What are you S-T-U-P-I-D???!!!

It's the lack of all that girly-chrome that separates it from all the other touring models.

Wow, I'll bet she's happy she asked that question.

Angie, I can't help you with part #'s but dress it up as much as you want, be yourself. Congrats on the new bike.

The street glide is a minimalist approach to a hd touring bike with that said - it's your bike - make it look the way you like - thats the great thing about these machines - the individualistic styling - ride safe
