Default Strange Things Happing After Boom Box Update

Yesterday after a short ride i tried to start my 17 Road Glide Ultra and got a black Srceen and nothing happened. Did a reboot would not start. Black srceen then in my odometer srceen it said to enter pin. Started getting nervous has i never put a pin # in my bike. Did another reboot and the dam thing started up with no problems since. I preformed the new update to my 6.5 system all went well, but i now experience some slow boot ups, lost screens and have some strange things going on with my system. Anyone else having problems After the last infotainment update. My BoomBox was working great never any problems or Gliches before the update. Kinda wish i waited a while longer before doing the upgrade.

Dose anyone know what this pin thing is don't want to be stranded somewhere with out a PIN number.

Read the owners manual about the pin# and how to set it.

The issue you had sounds more like a security problem than a Boom Box issue.

Your dealer where you bought the bike should have the PIN number.
Then you change it to your own.....check the owners manual for that procedure.

You won't need the original pin, if the key fob is present.

Did your dealer not go over the PIN and set it up with you on delivery of the bike?

Put fresh batteries in your fobs. Pay attention to the polarity add you install the batteries. Keep spare batteries in your Tourpack. They are Li, so the spares won't run down on you. You do not need the PIN that the dealer set, simply follow the procedure and set your own PIN. Many dealers use a simple PIN, like 11111, 12345, etc...for all of the bikes they setup, so you should set your own, harder to crack PIN.
Learn to start the bike without the FOB.
