Removed the 2010 2int1 cat today
Cut my stock headpipe in half today and cleaned the cat out. Now i'm welding it back together. I will bet that it flows as well as alot you can buy after market. spoke with Fullsack Performance and the oxygen senser crosstalk talk is bull. the cat is after the area where they are so they are both in the same are before you dig it out they are seperated as one is in a section of the front pipe and the other is in the area below the pipe but both are before the cat so it would be a cross talk issue even before its removal. I'm happy as **** that i did this and i have time now to shop around for the pipe that has the tapered head flange that is new on the 2010 bikes. Some of these systems just don't fit good and for the money you get no more than bragging rights.

Removing cat converter of 2010's
I called about a new map for my pc5 and was told that i should use the map i have for my aftermarket head pipe. That tells me that the stock pipe with the cat out flows somewhat near the same as some that you will pay much more for. Unless you need 18mm ports for sensors gut the stock headpipe. I'm going to spend some time finding the pipe i want that has larger than 1.750 tubing on a 2into1 pipe which will restrict you going past a certain amount of horsepower if you plan on building in the future. I don't have pictures of cutting my pipe but it is very self explanitory, cut it in the center of the cat and drill holes in the material then chisel and pry the **** out. It drills very easy and once you start chipping it out the more you get out the easier it gets. There are alot of aftermarket pipes on the market some good some not so good. For now i am very happy with the stock shield fitting pefectly on my high flow stock 2010 catless headpipe with the slipon of my choice.

2010 cat is in the head pipe
My pipes are blue which leads me to believe that they are orange or red when i'm riding. This is why my cat is in a plastic bag now. Your 09 had the cat where? I think that yours was not in the head pipe right? Well anyhow mine is a clear shot now and some of these after market exhaust companies can kiss my azz

Check with local welding shops
I'm sure if their slow that they might tackle it for you. They have the band saw and it is not that big of deal digging the stuff out. Cut the pipe right in half center of the oval area where the cat is.

Good idea...I can do the dig out (have an air chisel). Just don't have the band saw and definitely don't have the welding equipment or experience.

I plan on removing the cat's from these and then hooking them up with some Rush or Jackpot slip-ons.
