You probably hear it more when riding on concrete, it's the muffler hangers. Grease em and will help, bot not completely eliminate the chirp.

Mine did it when I changed my front motor mount, it was to tight when I put it on.

My chirp was the muffler rubber mounts in the rear. I have been oiling mine for the last three years. Quick fix but does not last. I replaced both of them recently for a grand total of $4.00. Bike is quiet. From now on they will be replaced yearly when I replace the plugs.

Thanks for all the suggestions, found it to be the rubber mounts. Took a good long look at all of it. Sunday I put about 170 miles on her, just to make sure...no more "chirpin!"

Had a after market rear spocket cause chirping once. Made a clock out of that one.

Glad you found it! I had a squeal on my '99 EGC, turned out to be the speedo drive unit on the front wheel.
