Default CVO FLHX Tail Lights on Non-CVO FLHX

Has anyone installed the CVO Street Glide tail lights on their non-CVO Street Glide. I think it would require the CVO rear fender and CVO fascia. I'd like to use it without the extended bags and I'm wondering how it would look with standard bags and what, if any, wiring changes have to be made to make them work. Thanks.

I haven't done it but I would assume it would work fit the same.

I started to do this last year but give it up when the cost of the paint was going to be more than the cost of anything else needed.

Send a PM to Open Road; he had this done to his wife's SG and it looks great. I helped one of the parts guys at my local dealer get the parts together for this mod for a customer's SG and, IIRC, you will reuse your rear fender's electrical connector to assemble the rear fender lighting.

Good luck with your research.

Just did the CVO fender and fascia swap. You will need the plugs for the CVO lights and cut & splice them into the rear harness.

Are you doing fender and fascia or just trying to do the fascia?

Let me know if I can help

See reply #6 in this thread:

You don't need the SE SG fender, though you'll have holes to fill/cover where the turn signal bar mounts on a non-CVO SG.

Personally, I prefer the look with the traditional tail light and the filler LED's better than the tail light-less SE SG.

Good luck with your project.

Awesome, this is just what I wanted to see. That looks great! Do you have a parts list that you can provide me with? Thank you!

Sorry, I didn't answer your question. I want to replace the rear fender and the fascia. I imagine that I'll have to have them both painted because the CVO SG does not come in black.

All right well here's the PNs for the fender and fascia:

• 60463-09A Fender
• 60465-09 Fascia (should be w/ lights)

Dont remember the part numbers for the harness...go to the parts guy at the dealer and have him pull the CVO SG manual and order the rear wiring harness (make sure it has both plugs to the lights). Honestly, the fender and fascia are under $500 total, so it's a really affordable upgrade.

From there, get them painted and work on your harness. REMEMBER you must get a load equalizer cuz the taillights are LED....i have a Badlands one but the guy who built my harness did an inline one.
