Default Vance & Hines Twin Slash Monster Ovals Installed

Just finished up a little while ago installing my new V&H Twin Slash Monster Ovals on my 09 Street Glide.

First impression on initial start up was that they were a little quieter than the Rush Slip Ons with 2" baffles I was running but not by much.

Nice low rumble at idle. And when you open em up very nice.

Took them out for a quick test ride and I'm very pleased with the sound.

Looking forward to taking a little longer ride tomorrow. After I'll update to let you all know how it went.

Here's a few pic's.

When are they going to make Monster Ovals that are loud?

I don't think they will ever make Monster Ovals that are loud. That's not the point of that entire line. There slogan is "With twice the internal volume of standard slip-on mufflers and technology you won’t find anywhere else, Monster Ovals crush the old saying that more power requires more noise." These are great pipes, and there are many happy customers out there, including me. My '09 RK is as happy as ever, and sounds like a freakin' beast (the way a Harley should sound!)

Your bike looks great with the pipes! I was originally going with the same pipes, but changed to the HD SE Street Performance pipes. I wanted more throughput with the least amount of noise. Now that the SE pipes have some miles on them they are a bit louder. I wonder some days if I made the right decision?...

Thoose don't look like Monster Ovals, they look like V&Hs regular slip on ovals. Monster Ovals have bolt on end caps of choice, black or chromed. There is a big difference between the two sets of cans. I hope you didn't pay "Monster Oval" prices for those cans.

Monster ovals endcaps look like this:
