I have these three things on my '09 Ultra and I'm satisfied so far.

I haven't had the chance to ride in really hot weather yet so keep that in mind. So far this summer I've only seen up to about 200° on my oil temp gauge when stopped in traffic. Going down the road 55-65 MPH I run about 180-190°.

I put in an auxiliary switch using HD's accessory housing and switch that replace the cap on the clutch lever clamp so I can turn on the fan manually whenever I choose. I usually do this when it looks like I'll be setting in traffic or at a light for any length of time. Doing this seems to be doing a fair job of keeping the engine cool. I haven't been in a long traffic jam yet so I haven't really put it to the test yet.

stg 1 air kit will make it hotter, unless u add a tuner.more air in needs more fuel not enough fuel=lean, lean = hot.

A good oil cooler is good when moving and a good fan is good when stopped or going slow. I prefer the Lanale fan because it moves more air and has proven to be much more reliable that the HD parade fan. My ride was running 230 F at cruise and was causing my bike to detonate. I removed te lowers and oil temps dropped unker 200 F and no more pings.

With synthetic Mobil 1 and an oil cooler I run about 180 to 190. highest i have seen is 195 since installing them. Used to run 220-230.

I have not installed a stage 1 yet.

i thought water boiled at 212 degrees? i always thought you needed 220 degrees or so to keep condensation from forming in the motor. those lower temps. you guys are talking would sure make it more comfortable for the rider. looks like that dealer will be getting some more of my money.

Your CHT is running way over 220 dgs F. even when the oil temps are 190. That is where the evaporation occurs. CHT on my bike is about 300 when oil temps get to 230. I drop about 60-70 dgs F CHT, without the lowers at high cruise and the result is oil temps of about 190 at the same speed and ambient air temp.
