Driver Floorboard Insert Installation - HELP!
I just purchased these floorboard inserts off Ebay for my 2007 Ultra Classic. They were listed as fitting my bike.
FITS 5 AND 6 SPEED FLT, FLHT, FLHS, HERITAGE SOFTAIL & FATBOY MODELS 1980-PRESENT
STOCK REPLACEMENT (YOU CAN USE THESE TO REPLACE HARLEY INSERTS IN YOUR FLOORBOARDS)
REPLACES OEM #50187-96
SOLD IN PAIRS
95-RIB-INSERT-59
Upon receiving them, I removed my stock inserts with the rubber cushions and am not sure how to install them.
I don't think they are for my bike....
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Scott

what the french toast? thats all you got, 4 metal peices? ummm... well, it looks like the small holes line up... guess your supposed to screw those together?
"They have a rubber pad under the chrome, but the rubber does not have the rubber nibs" - gotcha, guess thay're not made to float. im willing to be theyre made to be screwed together at those 4 holes that line up.

Gibby122,
I tend to agree with you. Somehow I will need to bolt the bottom of the pan provided to my stock pan through the four large holes.
Then, I could pop-rivit (provided) through the slotted top insert through the rubber insert into the bottom pan using the four small holes.
The insert would not float, but is the floating really necessary?
Actually, I hope the Ebay seller will return them actually.
