I'm quite happy with it. If I had the time to wait I would go with Woody's. He makes an excellent fairing and his customer service is first rate.

Mine is quick detach using the original windshield mounting points but the rubber grommets are replaced with aluminum ones. Also has trailer type plug for the wiring. Way cheaper than getting an Ultra and I still have the ability to ride it with the fairing off around town which I prefer.

The nice thing is you can use the factory HD Windshields, 3 pouch bag and Street Glide mirrors. All of which I have.

It comes in black Gelcoat which is close enough to the factory vivid black for me.

YMMV
I went with Woody's Fairings

Same setup as above. Uses HD windshields, etc.

Is the fairing stable while riding at high speeds in the quick disconnect mounts on a RK? Is there some kind of locking mechanism so the fairing doesnt lift out of the mounts? Reason is I just installed some morphadite fiberglass QD fairing on a buddys RK. He bought it used and it had 6x9 speakers, the thing that was weird is theres on 2 lower screws and 3 w/s screws holding the 2 fairing parts.
Reason for the question is I noticed while trying to tighten the screws the fairing would lift up in the fork mounts pretty easy. Going for a R/T this morning to make sure everything is stable.

The rubber inserts where the windshield brackets slide into get replaced with steel inserts and the 4 bolts get tightened on the brackets. Very secure and stable.

Thanks,
I suppose I have to go thru Dragonfly to get steel inserts. Is that the easiest way?

Yeah. It's Hex bolts to the windshield brackets. It's not quick release but it's pretty quick release And it holds just fine.
