You may not find the right size PVC at Home Depot etc. You need something 5 1/2 OD and 4 1/2 IS.....I got some from a junk pile in a plumbing supply store. It was some type of coupler.

Where the teeth are... there was a groove on the pipe...probably for some type of O ring....I rounded it out to 5" IS.

Hope this help.

thanks, I got it off last night, seems like it will go on with a little elbow grease, I will be getting the filter today, that gives me some time to get the pvc before the weekend if I have to, I was able to get to the filter without disconnecting any hoses by gently moving some hoses around inside the tank

wow, that filter looks pretty dirty, guess it was doing it's job though. never would have thought fuel could be THAT contaminated. I see the "home-made" tool, what does the actual dealer's tool look like, just curious.

Same as the one picture....made of heavy steel....Uses a ratchet wrench....and about $100 from Georges Tools.

Not a hard job....pretty simple if you have the tool.....just makes it easier....

mine was pretty dirty @ 28k, I am trying to make some kind of tool up in case I can't get this thing on....

btw. hard to call a dealer a stealer when they lent you a tool that would have cost 100 bucks, and don't make me defend dealers!!!

edit: I found these at my company 5" ID, 5.5 OD cores for web printing

I don't think my dealer will lend me any tools to get this thing back on, so I am going to have to bang the cam back on or go to home depot and get some pvc, I just am not sure on the pvc once I trace out the notches how would I grab it to turn? Thanks
drill holes thru sidewall of pipe...use a steel rod...piece of pipe...long 1/2" drive extension...

I didn't even need to do that...a lot of stress over nothing.

I took a ball peen hammer and a blunt object (wrapped in a towel), I put a little anti sieze on the bottom of the cam and lightly tapped it and its on bing bang boom.....

the whole job took about 45 minutes including waxing under the tank panel....

be careful putting the gasket over the filler it wants to pull up, a little spit fixed that right up.
