I'm working on a classic that had an upgraded HD stereo and amp installed. There was a short of one of the speaker wires. The front speakers had +5v on the left and +10v on the right all the time.

I'm gathering there shouldn't be any positive voltage on the speaker wires.

Or am I confused.

Any clarification would be helpful.
