Default Rear Shocks on Street Glide...

Been thinking on changing my rear shocks on the SG...get rid of the air shocks...what seem to be working best and who has the best deals...I am right at 6 ft 220 lbs and wife 5' 8" 150 lbs we do a lot of 2 up riding...bunch of people tell me getting rid of the air shocks will give me a way better ride

Whatever you choose, get 13"-13.25" shocks. The 12" shocks you have now only have 2" of bad travel.

I'm sure you would be happy with the 13" HD hand adjustable shocks.

Put them on my '11 Limited and they made a world of difference with or without the tourpak.

Progressive/SE are the next step. JRI/Ohlins are the step after.

I am also researching rear shocks for my 2007 street glide. I am leaning toward the progressive 944's. a lot of people seem to like them. let us know what you decide....

Yep, same here.
I do mostly 2-up riding with wife on the back.
The ride is night and day better than the factory air shocks.

The stock shocks on my 2014 SGS suck. Zero sag. I ride one up all the time and have them set as per the owners manual. They bottom out on a pretty regular basis.

I contacted Howard at Motorcycle Metal (Forum sponsor). He's shipping my JRI B shocks tomorrow. Look forward to the improved ride.

Might want to try a shock oil change first. It can be very effective, and cheap.
