Default Heading to Florida and need question answered

So after being out of work for over a year finally starting a job in Florida next week. I seem to remember reading somewhere that they frown upon loud exhaust there and need to confirm that. Getting my bike out of the paint shop tomorrow and have lots to do so need to know if I should put my baffles back in. I like the way it sounds but don't need any citations....

If you are moving to the Daytona Beach area, I would put your baffles back in.

Florida is pretty much a motorcycle friendly state (or I should say a little more tolerable) due to the amount of bikes here and Bike Week and whatnot, but there are always the people who give riders a bad name doing stupid stuff or their bike has 10 violations. Heres a link to help...

I have had no problems. Just keep off the throttle in residential areas and where ever you see "Quiet Pipes" signs. Also keep it down during any bike events and you should have no problem.

It seems pretty cool around this part of the State but, as always, there's a lot of individual discretion involved about whether or not to stop you for something.

Thanks all. I do my best to be respectful and represent the biker community in a good light. I will be in Tallahassee area for a couple months. I have read, may have been in a recent HOG magazine that there are some nice rides on the panhandle.

Welcome to Florida! It's hot right now - but you can ride all year long.

I'm originally from Daytona - visit atleast once a month. Not sure what hammerfyst is talkin about. No need for baffles. Not just DB, but all of Florida is very biker friendly. Just be respectful like your momma taught you and you'll be fine. Good luck with the next job and ride safe - those flat roads out there are some doozies! Haha
