Parts on sale problem
hey guys ,
im trying to buy some motor mounts on sale from syrduke or some other sellers ,
but they ask me something like this :
Ok
So we have proof for any questions from Harley-Davidson
We will need a copy or photo of your owner's registration card for the bike showing the bike vin # , your name and home address where you live.
This will prove ownership not going overseas and keep on file for proof against any fine from Harleyand yes , I will take it to Belarus ) but I want discount
maybe someone can help with this

Can you have him order it and then reship it to you after he receives it, or would that "eat up" the entire savings? Import/export duty and regulations might get pretty complicated very quickly, even for a private transaction.

HD cracked down on it because US dealers were selling to customers overseas and undercutting the local dealers bigtime, which was having a negative effect on their business. Also the issue of selling non market-approved OEM parts (DOM vs HDI) in export markets is a problem.
