Default Brake calipers

HD tells me you cannot rebuild front brake calipers on 2016 Roadglide CVO. That they must be replaced. Anyone know otherwise?

Harley doesn't sell them that I am aware of. You can get after market ones tho. Example: https://www.denniskirk.com/cycle-cra...rd/1913975.sku

The Brembos are not rebuildable, the older ones are and parts are readily available. Your dealer can get you new replacement ones, or if you want a different color they are in the P&A book.

My first question is why would 3 yr old calipers need rebuilding in the first place? Haven't had any 16 models apart but I've done earlier HD bremba's with no issues. What about them isn't replaceable?

I agree, rotors were warped within one year. When I inquired at HD, I was told. "That's your ABS working". Not knowing better, I kept riding it that way till I went to the Indian dealer for a second opinion. HD mech. that works there confirmed they were warped.

Seems you're talking about two separate parts. The rotors and the calipers.

Did your warped rotors take out your calipers?

And like Twisted Biker asked, why are the calipers not rebuildable?

This subject has been discussed around HDF in the past. It seems that H-D makes no provision for us to get access to parts for servicing them, but I seem to recall the parts can be found elsewhere, as Brembo calipers are used on many bike brands. Tale a look around to find earlier discussion.
