Default Playing with RKC Color Schemes

I realize that times are tough and HD's feelin' it, too, but is it just me, or are their RKC color schemes not purchase-inspiring lately?

RKCs don't have to be two-toned all the time; there's nothing like an all-black bike, for example, but I like the colors to pop and what about the side covers? How come they're always monotone?

So here I go messing with Harley's hallowed paint schemes for laughs or future ideas...

A lot of us aren't thrilled with this years paint colors, myself included. I was at the dealership yesterday and they had 3 root beer colored bikes as though they assume that is going to be the hot new color. I think it's ok but I doubt I'd buy it.

The side covers in each pic you have here are two-toned. What am I missing?

Other than that, I get ya. What is with that sky blue color? Yes, the colors always look better in person, butttttttt, HD seems to feel "this" color is the kick *** color of 2011. It's on everything. I only have one request for HD, will you please stop with the weird striping on the Road Glides? The Road Glide Custom is the only stripe job that looks cool. How about NO stripes like a Street Glide? Nice and sleek like.

I'll stick with my 9's for a while!

Default re

Da Butcher,

That is a hot bike bro. Love how you made it you own.
Did it start out as a Electra Glide or Street glide?

Default I put 'em there.

I painted the side covers two-toned to see how they'd look if Harley did 'em that way.

By the way, I always wanted to say that that black bike is the baddest bike in the world...now that's a bike HD should make right out of the box!

You got a name for that pretty bike?

I too felt underwhelmed by the RKC colors. the standard has a few more appealing options, but not the I gotta have it factor.

The larger touring bikes have some great color combos. could be the moco comming up with a new way to get you to spend you $$$.

"Don't like the RK colors, well check out the electra glide ultra limited for 6k more."
