Default 2009 Touring Owners Check Your Front Tire!

I thought mine was good and have over 8,000 miles when I recently noticed something wasn't feeling right. I don't ride the interstate much but have been lately and began to notice the front end sort of hunting or not tracking as it should. On closer inspection I saw uneven wear or cupping between the tread segments and took it to my dealer. My service Rep took one look and said " I'll replace it right now"....and he did at no cost me.

I had heard about the recall or problem with the tire but assumed it was an issue or defect that you would see right away but that wasn't the case with mine so heads-up and watch that tire!

I've got a 2009 Road Glide. Took it in about 3 months ago for 10k service and mentioned the cupping on the front tire to my dealer - it had quite a bit of tread left and I usually keep up with the tire pressures. Anyway, picked it up from the dealer that night and they replaced the tire under the TSB - no charge!

Yeah.. I was in last week for annual inspection and with 9,000 miles on it it was sounding like a 4X4 in the twisties... I mentioned it to them and they also replaced it under the TSB...

I was at the most local dealer to me now and was speaking to the service dept about the recalls including the front tire, he didn't even go out and look at my tire and told me to come by when they open this next week and they will put on a new tire and fix all the recalls to date. Made sure they wouldn't pull the whole pro rate crap and he said no charge with the 407F that was reverse pattern. Pig Trail HD Rocks!!
