Dealers can get pricey for those. Check your owners manual and see what your specific bike needs; if you're handy you can do it yourself. Often there are ind shops in the area that will do it for far less. I did my 10k service at a dealer in AZ for about $350; the Vegas dealer wanted $600!

IMHO,.....you should be able to do most of it yourself....and know that it is done....I strongly suggest that you find some independant mechanic/wrench in your area that you trust and stay away from the dealer.....and whoever that person is will be able to solve your problem......I never use a dealer ....ever.....for fixing my Harleys...I want to know who is working on my Harley and not just that it rolls in the back door and whoever is messing around with it...again....that is just me...but it has worked...for me..hard part is finding somebody near you that can do the job....again...In my humble opinion....bigal v

I say change the fluids and spark plugs, check the belt and inspect the tires and brakes and your good to go. My dealer get $500 for the 10k checkup I did the last one myself for under $100 . When I was at a dealer in Tenn this weekend I noticed they only charge $350
ohh and of coarse adjust the clutch as needed. I find the service manual saves me alot of money

The manual is a great thing to have, even better if you read it and better still if you use it to do some of your own work.

I had my dealer check the bike at 25k $125.00 no fluids...i did the fluids i just had them check all the fasteners belt...now at 50k...in the shop...bad transmission shaft bearing, inner primary leak....covered under the ESP. I have done all my own fluids religiously. i only let the dealer do the warranty stuff.
