the 4" Rineharts sounded good before, and now they sound better!
with the 777 cam and no cat, the Idle is awesome... Like my buddy says - you can hear the horsepower! It's a little louder... I've been riding w/o ear plugs and, for whatever reason, I don't have the rumble in my ears for an hour after I get off of it. I will be going back to ear plugs though... Haven't checked the mileage yet, but I know it's actually better than before... I know it's in the 40's.

As for heat; no noticeable difference...

All-around happy-happy!

Thanks for helping me fine tune the point I was trying to make. It's not all about cubic inches, it's all the right components that compliment each other and a quality tune to go with it.

Correctly built and tuned 117 or 124 will give another 10 or 15 hp/tq on top of what the 107s are getting for sure. I see yours is getting remarkable power, that must be fun, how do you hold on when you light that up?!

Thanks....My 124 has amazing power and so far has been very reliable. The power level i'm at the transmission and primary are being pushed to the limits for a touring platform. Out of all the engines I have built I like 130/130 hp/tq for the touring platform best.
Too many people get caught up on peak dyno numbers when its better to have a broad torque curve.

Totally. I love the power but I send 90% or more of my time below 4K rpm.

Sporacer has some sic numbers for sure....Ya start getting them numbers it's about time for a built bottom end for sure...I try to keep my bike above 2300..usually 2500-3000...But lots of times shifting at 4500...I like to run it hard so really looking forward to the added power....My wife and I run the freeways (highways) lots and the bike likes between about 75-80 just at 3000 rpm and runs great there...Just looking towards some more torque and some 3rd gear roll ons ought to be a blast !!!!!

I was told by Bob at FM to not out the unit. He said to stay in 5th on the highway and keep the RPM's up around 3000. Is this what you guys are doing as well?

Sorry about that, stupid spellcheck on my iPhone. I meant I was told not to lug the engine.

FM Bob told me to keep it between 25 and 35 for first 500 miles... gotta break it in like the new motor it is... (sure gets to 3500 quick!)
