Yeah, I have seen many folks in the New England area go to so called local big name "engine builders", spend a bucket full of money, and spend a season or two in chaos trying to get the bike to run right.

That's why I trailered out to Little Chute, through a snow storm in February.

Me and my little gang are heading out to Sturgis Saturday and coming back on Sunday... that'll put me at my 1st oil change (1000 miles).

we're taking the back roads since I have to vary the speed for the 1st 500 miles.

I know I can get a Sturgis t-shirt up the road at the flying J, but it wouldn't be the same...

Can't wait... ROAD TRIP!!

Awesomeness! You will feel the bike breaking-in a bit more while you are getting used to the extra power. How you liking it so far?

I just had some meniscus surgery done on my right knee so I've been down for a couple weeks, but I'll be back in the saddle again shortly.

Ride safe at Sturgis, if it's anything like Bike Week at Laconia NH, there are lots of crazies that might not be sober to watch out for.

Riding to Sturgis is unbelievable...Just seeing all the bikes heading across the country in packs is SOOOOO coool...We only spent 1/2 day out of the week in Surgis itself..Way to many other places to be and thousands of miles of amazing country to see out there. Maybe head out there next year but on to Yellowstone also.
Is it September and I'm at Fuel Moto ???????

I love Yellowstone on a bike, we try to do it every couple of years.

I got about 175 miles on the FM build (Gotta do lots of OT to pay for it) really looking forward to getting the 1000 mile oil change done so I won't have to baby it anymore. I love the instant roll on power, and love the way the bike sounds!

Hopefully next spring we can head to Yellowstone..I can't wait to feel the difference in bike. I just hope the FM R/T gives me the sound I'm looking for.

I'm hoping to make the 107 kit a winter project. What is the pros/ cons of the 10.5 or 10.25 compression ratio?

10.75:1 pistons here ... effective compression is 10.6:1 +/- according to Jamie. Great power 115/124 SAE corrected, but your choice should depend on your fuel availability ... 91 or 93 octane rating. 93 octane is pentiful here and I did not want to leave anything on the table so I went with the higher compression pistons ... no regrets at all.

there it is... I didn't plan on doing the ported TB work, but FM said I might pick up 1 to 3 HP and Torq.... Glad I spent the extra 180 or what ever it was... or I would have missed the numbers I wanted to hit since thinking about the FM 107 build (for about 6 months before I actually made the appointment). and that's the words I used when talking w/ Bob at the FM counter... I don't want to leave anything on the table, so, yeah... lets do that too! No Regrets!

I got 106/121 without the porting and regret leaving it on the table.
