Default Cruise Control Activation

Just installed cruise control on my 09 FLHR, no orange or green light on speedo. Do I have to have it activated before I get the indicator lights?
I know it has to be activated, just wondering about the indicator lights!

There are two buttons for the CC. One is an on/off button that turns on the indicator light. It remains lit regardless if CC is engaged or not. The light changes from orange to green when the speed set button is pressed.

Yes I know how it works. I get no indicator lights at all regardless of the switch position. I have checked for codes and have none. Everything operates as it should just no indicator lights lights. Does the ecm need to be flashed before I get the indicator lights?

Yeah! What he said. On 2008 and later bikes, you'll have to go to the dealer to get your cruise activated.
