King tour pack for the wife and space . It is only on the bike when she is on or the weather is getting cold at the end of the riding season for a helmet and easy storage of jacket.

I'm assuming you will be making it a detachable. If so, get the king for max space. I run it if the OL is riding and remove it when she's not. I just takes a couple of minutes. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't even need a tour pak.

I bought the King Tour Pak first because I too wanted to put in a 3/4 helmet, but I just couldn't stand the looks of it on a Street Glide especially with that big wrap around arm rested backrest pad. I'm sure women love it, but not me.
So I sold it to a dude in Nevada and bought a Chopped Tour Pak for extra room in the winter.
I use a "Gun Lock" to lock the 3/4 helmet when I wear it.

I am happy with the Chopped Pak. Enough room for me for extra clothes in the winter.

Well, was in the same dilemma.

Funny thing is, when I see PHOTOS of the chopped tourpak, like Texas Fat Boy's, I LOVE it. When I see it in person, Its looks too small to me. Weird. To me, the razor just looks silly.

Honestly, when its all said and done, if your going to do it, IMHO, do the King. If your gonna add space, might as well add space. Plus, its a much more supportive backrest for your passenger, if you have one.

Personally, I wish they made one right in between the King and the Chopped in height. Visually, I think that would be perfect. Thought about having one custom made, but their just seemed to be better things to spend a grand on.

I bought the King for the reasons Flyingace mentioned plus added the air wing rack. I prefer it off but wife got a taste of the backrest so it's been on all summer.

My tourpac is only on when the wife is with me and i bought it to put my stuff in so if it has to be there i want all the room i can get and it to be high enough for my wife to be able to be comfortable. Couldnt see spending the money and not getting the king? It works for what i was looking for!
