Question Want to put rear spekers on a Electra Glide Classic

I purchased my first Harley Electra Glide Classic earlier this year, I would like to put rear speakers on the bike, because when my fiance goes for a ride with me, she can not hear the radio. The bike already had a king tour pack. Is it possible to put a set of speakers from a Ultra on, or is it better to buy a set off of Hog tunes? Also, either route I go, will she be able to control the volume and station from the back? Thanks for the help in advance.

Get on ebay. You can usually find rear speakers from an ultra classic for sale there.

What model year is the bike? It makes a difference if it's '06 or newer, or '05 or older.

I don't want to get into specifics about your gal, but a girl with a little meat on her will damm near cover up the rear speakers so I do without. Try sitting (the 2 of you) on someones bike with rear speakers before you buy: you'll see what I mean.
I just opted for the Hog Tunes up front!!!

There are several complications with adding the rear speaker pods, such as mandatory trip to dealer for fader activation on factory head unit. She will not have volume and seek controls as an ultra does, that's part of intercom and cb package.

As others have said, upgrade to j&m amp and 7 1/4 j&m speakers and she will hear it just fine. That's what I did in the past to cure that problem.

when I ride, my G/F always has me turn down the rear speakers. I out up graded fronts
on my '04, and I don't need rears speakers.

A set-up from hogtunes that will include an amp...I had this on my 06 RG. The front speakers run off the amp and the rear run directly off the head unit. My wife said she could barely hear rear speakers even with volume turned up. You will have no fader control over the rear speakers as the head unit is only 2 channel.

I have no exerience with any of the HD speakers...I do know that the they are more expensive than Hogtunes.
