Default Non Ultra Audio Overlay Harness Pics.

Im going to be helping a friend of mine install the Non Ultra Audio Overlay Harness on his 2010 Street Glide. Do any of you Ultra Classic or Ultra Limited folks have pictures with your front fairings off? I've done this on my RG but not on a batwing.... was looking for something to help us determine the best routing for the wires and wiring harness.

Thanks.

From J&M's website; just scroll down to the picture:

I'll check my photos from my installation of the harness to see if I have a better picture.

This is a picture taken some months back when I was installing the NUOH as part of the Boom Audio Music & Intercom Kit, p/n 77108-09, and CB module. As shown, the NUOH will prevent the fairing from being installed.

http://

For starters, route the NUOH directly to the rider's left side of the HK radio, then wrap the harness rearward, then over the radio and to the rider's right side of the radio, and secure it to the speedo and tach mounting brackets using zip ties.

You will probably have several unused connectors (depending on what you are installing) and these should be tucked along the sides of the radio, and the same for connectors used for connections to harness. Basically, you are trying to avoid having anything in front of the HK radio that can otherwise be tucked along the sides or to the side of the radio. On my installation, all of the connectors, used and unused, are along or to the sides of the radio.

Good luck with your project. Perhaps you can take a picture of a successful routing and post it. I'll try to remember to do the same, since, over time I've adjusted the connectors to the point where the outer fairing goes on and fits snugly to the inner fairing prior to installing the screws just as it did before I added the NUOH, CB , etc.

Carl

EDIT: The additional harness in the convoluted tubing to the left of the NUOH is the radio harness and it too should be routed to the side of the radio like it was from the factory. Mine was temporarily freed to accommodate wiring modifications I made for the BAMI kit installation.
