I recently installed S&S 510g cams on my road glide.(love them by the way) My question is break in time is there any?

 

Unless your whole motor is new, no. If you changed jugs pistons. ect. then you would break it in but just cams and lifters they won't need any break-in time, although i wouldn't red line it for a few miles either.

 

Had the same things done in my 02 Electra Glide,noisy at first but got allot quieter the more miles I put on.

 

How much noise do they make compared to stock??

 

A lot. I was surprised by the valve train noise at first, but after 500 miles on the build she's quiet down some. I put the S&S 583 cams in. Good linear torque with no flat spots. Adjustable push rods which actually needed another 1/2 turn from spec.
