Default Cam Choice for a 103"

Have a 2011 RKC factory 103.
Getting cams installed and narrowed it down to 3.
Looking for low to midrange power.
SE255's, RedShift 575's, or Woods TW-6-6
Leaning more towards the TW-6-6. I know Woods has the 555 which is supposedly designed for this motor, but I tend to shy away from "NEW"

The redshifts 575's are designed to work in a 96, 103 or 110. However, if used in a 103 they say they should be used with reverse dome (dished) pistons. The 577's are a 103 with flattop cam. I run the 575 in my 96 and will be putting in dish pistons when I go 103.

If you are considering the Woods 6-6 then also consider the new Woods 555. Pretty close to the 6, but slightly higher hp and tq. Fuel Moto did a great write up on the 555. I wouldn't worry about the "new" factor with those cams as you mentioned.

It would be the Tman 555 for a 2011. Which would be an excellent choice

I had the TW6-6 in my 103 for 500 miles.....swapped for the SE255 and I'm much happier.....my limited is heavier than your bike so it make work for you....but the 255 is stronger everywhere on the powerband in my limited....

You have some great choices there.I think the Redshift & Wood's would benefit more with the heads cleaned up.You leaving your heads stock?Out of the 3, I like the redshifts. But I would have the heads cleaned up & make sure they were cc'd.Then I would run a thinner head gasket to get the comp up a little.10.2ish.I would call Bob, & ask him what to run that cam at.I think the Wood & redshift might be to much cam for a stock motor unless your going to run a +4 advance. For stock heads I would run the Wood TW5-6.

Putting some more thought into this, I'm thinking about making it next winter's project so that I can afford to get some headwork done at the same time.
