Default I NEED HELP with throttle cable wires on a road glide

I was replacing the throttle cables on my Road Glide today and thought it was just hung so I pulled on it and found out it had 2 wires hooked to it. Can someone please tell me which one goes where and what they are for????? One of the wires is brown with white stripe and the other is orange with blue stripe.

Huh? Are you referring to the two cables as in one throttle cable and one idle cable?

I think he's referring to the 2 cruise wires...about 2/3rds way down the cable.

OP, look just forward of your tank.
There should be connectors in that area.

Yes badpiggy that is the wires I am talking about. Do you know how they hook up or does it matter?

I don't think it matters which way they're connected...if it did, they'd have different connectors on the ends.

Maybe dawg can chime in on this.

Correct, doesn't matter which connector connects to which.

I am installing paul's monkey bars and when I hook battery back up and turn the key on if I is see smoke I will be crying. LOL I can tell already that I am going to love these bars. Can't wait to finish getting them on but it hard to work on it much with it being 26 dregees outside and the bike in a metal building with NO heat...
